Philosophy
What we stand for.
Why local-first. Software should work fully offline, permanently. A server can add convenience. It should never be a requirement.
Why no subscriptions. A one-time purchase respects a simple idea: once you’ve paid for something, you own it. No app should stop working because a payment lapsed.
Why ownership matters. Your files should outlive the app that made them. Open formats, or at minimum, a documented one.
Why export is never a paid feature. Locking export behind a paywall is a way of holding data hostage. SineZero apps export everything, for free, from day one.
Why privacy matters. Usage analytics, if they exist at all, are opt-in and off by default. We’d rather ship a worse feature than collect data we don’t need to.
Why software should respect users. No dark patterns, no manufactured urgency, no “are you sure?” dialogs designed to guilt you into staying subscribed. Respect is a design constraint, not a marketing line.
